It is with pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Barbara Collins of Positive Trends. During 1999, we employed the services of Dr. Collins to facilitate discussions and develop recommendations. These discussions addressed cultural issues around diversity, dignity and respect throughout our organization. The groups were representative of every aspect of our organization including senior leadership, members of the board of trustees, clinicians, administrative, professional and clerical staff members. Needless to say, Barbara’s ability to challenge a diverse group to think of collective approaches to overcome issues facing the organization was evident through the development of a comprehensive and result-oriented action plan. Through her efforts, the action plan was later presented to the Board of Trustees and many items have been woven into the organization’s mission statement and annual operating goals.
Dr. Collins possesses excellent design and facilitative skills along with the ability to challenge a team/group of people to achieve a common set of goals and operating principles.
